I contacted the main Microsoft support line to find out how to ask questions about Minecraft Education Edition for my homeschooling my 8 year old girl. (There are millions of us who were suddenly thrust into this as all you know.) I was told to set up an account here at education.minecraft.net and I would be contacted by support folks here to complete my account setup. This is where I was directed to ask my questions. I did this last Friday morning four days ago with a note in that online form explaining. I understand that it is the memorial day weekend and also that the global pandemic may be effecting timing. Should I wait? Am I barking up the wrong tree?
I am asking for an Education account for my covid-19 homeschooling family. We 2+ parents are low-income with lost jobs due to covid-19 in Oakland, CA. I am seeking the best education for my student which means Mine-craft education. On the first page of search results, this recent Minecraft education support page comes up. In the comments, you see there is nothing publicly available for us millions of new home school families.
If this is impossible, I want request a scholarship, special dispensation or Please refer me to a free homeschool group you have licensed for this purpose.
If that is not possible either, I would like to speak to the person who is working on covid-19 special programs that covers Minecraft education at Microsoft.
I taught TV production, technology and computers full time in the public schools and in public access TV in the 1990s and taught music for 15 years also. I am an experienced educator. I would be happy to work with your team on this problem as a volunteer for the sake of my millions of comrade parents in the same position.
