Please advise what to do if I am working for a Social Work Company that delivers LEA funded education to children outside of mainstream? We work 1-1 as individual tutors for CF Social Work based in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK with referred children. I am working with some children who are really struggling and would benefit from Minecraft as a form of delivery for part of their learning. I was up till midnight last night trying to work out how to get going on this. It is completely new to me. I will be working part time in mainstream school again soon so would like to be able to introduce it there as well and need to get my head around this asap.
I installed the Education Edition but cannot access the full version under my personal sign in. We do not have an IT department or technician. I work on a Mac so do not automatically or regularly access Microsoft and do not have a Microsoft 365 account. I had to go through heaps of security including giving partial credit card ID thinking this was all necessary. I now feel concerned that I have given some of my personal ID away to what I thought was a secure and worthwhile education site without any benefit.
I even bought a standard Minecraft licence in the hope it would give me access. I signed in under my Skype account name which seemed at first to work. All my pupils are working on PC laptops. One of my pupils has Minecraft on his X-Box.
My brain is hurting from all the hoops I am trying to jump through in as short a time as possible to access what could be a great resource and help these young people in a very difficult time.
Please advise how I can get this working for me and my pupils.
